My boy Philly had been battling stomach cancer for 7 months, and last week he finally told us enough was enough. Friday we let him go to cat heaven RIP buddy.
In a previous post I was undecided whether to exclusively post about cats, since the majority of my posts are cat videos. With the passing of my boy Philly, I have decided to dedicate both my Instagram page and YouTube Channel to him.
Moving forward I will exclusively post fun cat videos on both platforms. I plan to keep both the names reelsfun21 and ShortitOut, but the content will change to just cats.
I will probably start with best of Philly on both platforms to signify the change. He was such a good cat and was always up to his antics some I was able to get in pictures and videos.
Philly came into my life in 2020 right before the pandemic started. I had just seeing is mom, and will never forget my first meeting with him.
It was the first time I went to her home, he was on her mantle looking down at me. Such a big tiger cat, so intimidating, and one could only keep his guard up when around him.
As we got to know each other, our relationship grew, eventually he approved of me, and we became buddies. The relationship blossomed even more when they all moved in with me at the end of 2020.
We all became family, and it has been like that ever since. I had never had my own pets before, so having to say goodbye has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.
If you have been following my Instagram and YouTube, you have already met Philly. I have several videos of him and his sister cat Topsy.
He was always one to do fun things. He loved playing with pretty much anything. You could find him pretty much anywhere, inside bags and boxes, he even found a spot right next to my nativity scene during Christmas.
He was one of a kind, and will be missed so much. I just hope I do right by him with these platforms. If you have ever lost a pet leave a comment below. How did you cope? This is my first time, I would love to here other's stories.
