Here are links to my first few videos: The First The Second (Also on YouTube) The Third & The Fourth. As you can see some where just me screwing around with the different tools available to be on Instagram. A couple though, I really thought would be popular, but it wasn't the case. Actually none of those videos got more than 35 views.
It was lucky #5 that broke the thousand view barrier, and to this day I am still getting likes from on Pinterest. The funny thing was, it wasn't even a plan video, I was just sitting at my desk, and noticed how my cats were behaving.
Video Above was the YouTube version, which actually got more views.
My boy cat was trying to get by in the living, and my girl wasn't having any of it. Finally he tried to sneak by around her, and that is when the magic happened 🙀. What the video doesn't show, is my boy bouncing her right back 😸.
My first high viewer video on YouTube came from a friend. It was also my first attempt at re-editing someone else's work. It remained my highest viewed video for nearly a week, and back then I was posting everyday. The funny thing is it got over 2600 views on YouTube, but not even 50 on Instagram. It was the exact same video including the music, only difference was the timing on the music. (Note I always give Credit on Videos that I don't originally Create).
After those videos it, getting over 1,000 views was common place. Don't get me wrong I still get videos that don't do so well, but since I create them regularly both Instagram and YouTube put my stuff out there. If it fails it's on me.
Stay tune for my Next post. How one video did well on both platforms no matter the music, that I used. #funnyfails
